“Chappie” is the third full length film from director Neill Blomkamp after 2009’s “District 9″ and 2013’s “Elysium.” Based off a short film he did back in 2004 called “Tetra Vaal.” As huge fans of Blomkamp's work Poster Posse decided to create a tribute by showcasing their interpretations of the movie seen through their eyes.
For this project I wanted to create a simple muted but interesting image but not be so in your face as my usual stuff. Trying to make use of negative space and a couple punches of colour convey the tone and the inferred plot from the trailer.
