Working with Duke Athletics I was commissioned to create a commerative piece for the celebration of Duke's legendary men's basketball coach on achieving 1000 Wins in his coaching career. The brief suggested a locker scene where every win Coach K shares his words of wisdom to his players. I decided to make it more dynamic by creating a bust portrait of Mr. Krzyzewski and have the locker scene blend from it to create a interesting composition. The Duke basketball and "1K" logo (created by Nike especially for this occasion) was later added into the background.
